I went to Starbucks today and they have their red holiday cups out and the drink sleeves say "let's merry." How cute! I love when Starbucks has their Christmas cups. It makes me so happy and somehow makes the coffee taste even better :) Speaking of holiday cheer, will someone please make/buy me this wreath. I found it on etsy and it would make my front door so happy!

weekend recap

We had a great weekend. Friday night we stayed home and had a date night after Landry went to bed. I actually cooked dinner and it turned out surprisingly good. I made beef tenderloin and mashed potatoes. People who know me know I don't enjoy cooking, but I'm trying.


On Sunday, Chris and I went to the cowboys game. We had front row seats from his aunt and uncle. It was so much fun to be together. We even made the jumbo screen in stadium. I'm just glad it wasn't during the Kiss Cam.

here's the recipe:
Crockpot Pork Tenderloin


• 1- 2 lb pork tenderloin

• 1 -1 oz envelope dry onion soup mix

• 1 cup water

• ¾ cup red wine

• 3 TB minced garlic

• 3 TB soy sauce

Combine all ingredients in a crock pot. Cook on low 8 hours or high 4 hours.
Enjoy and finish your bottle of wine.

This is how Landry feels that his Grammy and Papa Joe aren't coming to visit. My dad has been sick and they won't be able to fly to Dallas tomorrow. We are so sad but wanted to wish our favorite Grammy, a Happy Birthday! We hope your day is as special as you are!!

Lunch Date

Today we meet Landry's Great-Grandmother and Papa for lunch in Dallas. They live in Waco and were in town for a doctor's appointment. Grandmother brought a treat bag for Landry with a new book and toothbrush. He LOVED it! Eating a biscuit...look at all my teeth

Opa's Rocking Chair

Retail Therapy

If anyone has missed me, I've simply been to HOT to blog.. ;) This has been a miserable summer in Texas. Now that it's September there has to be promise of cooler temperatures in our future. Truthfully, we've just been enjoying our summer. We traveled to Ohio and Alabama and enjoyed the days with friends and family.

So today I woke up on the wrong side of the bed (maybe its because Landry has been waking up everyday at 5am). Then around 7am Landry threw up. Our house just got over a stomach virus this weekend that started with him. I just started panicking thinking it was going to make ROUND 2 in our house! He seems like he is doing okay since this morning. Praying he stays healthy! Sick babies are the PITS!

So I decided we need some retail therapy. We went shoe shopping for Mr. Chunky Foot. We went to Stride Rite and had his foot measured for the 1st time. He is a 5-Extra Wide. So while I have wanted his first pair of shoes to be Sperry's I had to settle on the Extra Wide, New Balance with velcro :)

My sweet friend got married over the weekend in Mckinney, TX. Her wedding was at this beautiful chapel and her reception was in the ballroom at the Grand Hotel. It was breathtaking. this sign was outside the chapel

We have been very busy this past week. My parents were here from Ohio, my mom is still here ( I love every minute of having extra hands!) We had a graduation party, a baby shower for my friend Amanda who had her twins and moved my brother into a new house at OU! Today we are heading to Tyler for the weekend. My brother has an internship in Tyler this summer at an oil company and is living with my my in-laws. I wanted to share some pictures of my big boy!
